No overnight Parking at Pioneer Park Notice

Posted on August 22, 2022 By Joe Samaniego

Beginning September 24, 2022, the City of Tangent will enter a parking enforcement agreement with Stealth Towing & Recovery Services. Any vehicles parked overnight, 10 PM to 5 AM, may get towed at the owner’s expense. The parking zone with the overnight enforcement is in front of Pioneer Park along North Lake Creek Dr, Eastbound land.

The City of Tangent has taken this action in response to complaints and concerns of overnight parking interfering with school bus loading in the morning and a growing number of vehicles parking overnight at the park. Tangent Municipal Code 11.50.020 “Unless a specific parking restriction or regulation provides otherwise, it shall be unlawful for
anyone to park a motor vehicle, including a recreational vehicle as described herein, in the public right-of-way in the same location, or within 200 feet of the same location, for more than 24 consecutive
hours. (Ord. 2011-06).”

Vehicles will be towed in accordance with Tangent Municipal Code 11.50.060 and 11.60.030(1)(E).
